How do I find my group certificate/PAYG summary or income statement

Employees automatically provide this information to the Tax Office. If you need a copy of these documents, talk to your employer.

How long does it take to get my Tax Return?

After lodgement of your Tax Return it takes about seven to fourteen days for the Australian Tax Office (ATO) to process the return.

Once processed it can take anywhere from being in your account on the same day or up to 48hrs depending on which bank you are with.

Should I lodge my Tax Return early?

it's best to wait until all income statements have been submitted to the tax office to avoid any refund recalculations by the Australian Tax Office (ATO).

The Tax Office generally does not start processing Tax Returns until the second week of July. Employers also have up to 14 days after the 1st of July to lodge your Group Certificare with the Australian Tax Office (ATO).

If your income has not been prefilled with the Tax Office and you would like to lodge earlier, dont forget to bring the last payslip that you received before the 31st of June and any other proof of income and expenses.
